Reminiscing - part II

Not sure if I still have anyone reading my blog but here goes.

Am very wide awake now, trying to do my assignment, at the same time waiting to watch my OTH S8 and browsing through FB.

So, I know that people always say "never to look back" or "look forward to what lies ahead and not whats past".

But the past determines your future isn't it?

Am looking back now thinking what if and might have been if I had decide and act differently then, will the present change?

Its not like I'm not happy and thankful with what I have today but just wondering if I had done something in the past, will I still have things that I've lost today?

Its true though, the saying that adults behave differently (due to stress I think) and that people change. Sometimes to the point that one could no longer accept the changes.

I know I've changed as well but to a certain extent, I would like to look back and remind myself of who I was. So as to keep myself on track and stop losing things that I can no longer afford to lose.

I started this blog as a young adult, one who knows too little of this world (college/university) and now, am at the verge of stepping into a whole new world (work) hoping that I will not side track or blend in too much into the new world.

I like things the way it used to be.

Simple. Happy. Easy.

But then again, "life is never easy".

Holiday is finally here.

Will be starting my internship on the 1st of June in CTSM again.

Will be going Ipoh for a day trip on the 28th and Skytrex with course mates on the 29th.

Its time to fill my hours at home with series and chores.

My "EVENTFUL" Hot Air Balloon Experience

Was super excited about the event when I first read it from my email sent by GWDW.

Pestered Aaron to bring me there along with my folks.

Shall skip everything till the part where the day got so "eventful".

We queued up for the tickets about 3.50pm. Noticing the long queue, we were pretty worried about the availability of the tickets as they only have 300 tickets per session.

We are lucky number 305++. A big stand with the word "Sold Out" was placed just wee bit in front of us.

Was seriously very disappointed.

Fortunately for us (or maybe unfortunately), his colleague called him saying they got extra 4 tickets for us.

WHEEEEE. Queuing up again. This time we queued up till about 6.30 pm when they started selling the tickets. By the time we queued up for the ride it was already almost 7.

About 7.30pm, when we were seriously almost there, the dude says "Kami minta maaf, atas sebab weather condition, kami terpaksa refund la. Sila BERATUR sekali lagi untuk refund".

I was like WTF?!?!?!?!

We got no choice but to queue up again for our refund.

Not only did we miss all the fun in the carnival, we missed watching the different cool hot air balloons from other countries.

Lesson learnt from this experience: Sometimes wanting something too much is not good. You'll exhaust yourself and may not even get what you want. You'll also miss out many little things that may even bring you more joy and happiness than what you wanted. =)

Am still learning to appreciate the little things that I have and experienced daily. Learning to be more grateful and not take things for granted.

Reminiscing or Reminding

Reminiscing my last few days in CTSM, doing checks.

Thinking back on how we've started and reminding myself of the person that I fell in love with.

It all happened too fast, without a thought of the commitment, the strengths and weaknesses that I need to accept and without weighing the freedom and life that I need to let go.

Its been almost 6 months now, despite the many arguments, and in spite of the many changes that may occur in the future, I love you just the same.

For when I've decided that "its you", whether I took account of the many circumstances or not, I was ready to accept you as who you are (within limits and compromise though).

I'm sorry that I've hurt you somehow, but I just want you to understand my needs in this relationship.

New year resolution:

1. Lose the bloody weights!

2. Stay happy and healthy as a horse.

Countdown-ed (this word exist in my vocabulary, at least) the year of 2011 in Curve with Aaron. The place was fully packed with people selling sprays and people already spraying them before the clock strike 12.

And when the clock actually strike 12, the entire street was covered in white (people spraying at each other) and the smell of the aerosol spray was unbearable.

We were standing at the wrong spot to watch the fireworks at first. But we found a not-so-nice spot to watch the ending part of the fireworks.

1st January 2011.

Was woken up very early by mom for Yong Tau Foo lunch in Puchong as she wants to go to the market after that.

The weather was super hot after lunch and the random me said:-

"How nice it would be if we were to be in Genting right now."

And after a few minutes of "Don't-Balance-Sheet-me" conversation, we abandon the going-to-market plan and head back home to change for GENTING HIGHLAND.

Reached there about 4.30pm and da da da da da, reached home at about 4.00 am the next day.

It was an awesome, unforgettable and spontaneous family new year trip that I will never ever forget.

Love ya, daddy and mummy. You both rock my world!

What a great start to a great new year ahead.

Lets leave the sadness behind and reminisce only the sweet and happy memories.

I found this conversation between the pencil and the eraser very inspirational. Parents are like the eraser whereas their children are the pencil. They're always there for their children, cleaning up their mistakes. Sometimes along the way, they get hurt, and become smaller / older, and eventually pass on. Though their children will eventually find someone new (spouse), but parents are still happy with what they do for their children, and will always hate seeing their precious ones worrying, or sad.

All my life, I've been the pencil. And it pains me to see the eraser that is my parents getting smaller and smaller each day. For I know that one day, all that I'm left with would be eraser shavings and memories of what I used to have.

Last Friday, was my last day of internship with CTSM.

To summarize the entire 2 months with the AML team, I've learnt so much from many different people, experienced the "joy" of working, and also got to meet many new special people in my life.

Before I start on the happy stuff, I would like to express my frustration about the incident that happened to me in Sunway Pyramid.

One thing I love bout the Pyramid is their parking and of course their auto-pay parking machine that returns change in notes and not coins.

On Friday, I had one of the most meng-mang-kan moment of my life. My brother and I just want to get our hair cut on a nice holiday and we ended up spending more than 30 mins waiting for the technician to arrive because our parking ticket is stuck in the auto-pay machine.

And the most "awesome" thing was, when the technician arrived, the ticket came out even before he touch the machine.

I was like ergh, argh, ish, jeez, nvm.

Saturday, went to the Sepang beach.

Keat recommended, saying that the view there is awesome wo.

We reached about after an hour drive. No pictures btw.

Watched Resident Evil after that.

The movie, in my opinion, not so nice. Even the movie Piranha is more interesting.

Today, went to cousin's place in Sg. Long.

Congratulations ya. I'll come by every now and then to stay. =P

Was my last day in Wisma Char Yong. Was busy packing the office and snapping pictures here and there.

Later that night, spent RM 125 (my pay for July) in Delicious just on desserts.

Was supposed to stay til late night for the live band. But too bad, that place was packed and noisy.

Saturday,

Went out with chen chen for STEP UP 3D in pavillion.

The movie is a thumbs up. However, if you are going for the story line, then don't watch. LOL

How I wish I can dance. =(

We had lunch in Dragon-I. My first time trying their la-mian. Not bad tho.

Was super full but still managed to squeeze in some durian pancake from My Honeymoon Dessert. Yummyyy. =)

Sunday,

Went out with some colleagues from CTSM. A farewell for Livy.

Will miss you so much girl. Have fun in UK. =)

Since I was still with my sore throat, I listen more than I sing.

Had so much fun Listen-K with them.

Ended the outing with another My Honeymoon session.

Rushed all the way next to Han's place for BBQ.

Again, we ate, laughed, swam, snapped pics and etc.

Had a hard time cracking my head for the horsey IQ question.

And laughed the most when I watched the video of Han falling down the pool. (Y).

Anyone wants to gain weight?? I know just the PERFECT RECIPE.

Am not being paranoid or anorexic. I seriously gained a few more kgs last weekend.

I don't really mind bout the weight but when my clothes can't fit me properly, I PANIC!!

Last Saturday, went over to uncle Khay Lee's place for dinner. Pot luck theme this time=more food!

I ate like super lot (few servings of everything). Then the next day, ate Carl's Jr for lunch.

Was doing some light (ehem) shopping with cousin sis-s. I was so hungry that I decided to not share the burger. Amazing right?

And that night, big bro and sis-in-law came home WITH very very yummy dinner. Extremely spicy SAMBAL PRAWN!! yummy. =)

Thus, more eating.

My clothes are not fitting properly now. You'll see a few lumps here and there.

Warning people! If you don't want to see this girl crying or yelling at ya, do say she looks good when she ask okie?

Brief update

Jason Kong's birthday was okie. Its been a long long time since i meet up with Melvin's friends.

A bit awkward and feel kinda out of place but still okie.

The party reminds me of how desperate can humans be and how rich people show their status and etc.

Based on my observation, to show the "rich" status:

1. Change your partner often and be a topic.

2. Upon reaching, place all your car keys, handphone, lighter and cigarettes on the table (branded ones only).

3. Dress up your partner in the most expensive clothing and accessories and make sure that your partner looks hot next to you.

4. Talk as though you know everything in the world.

I seriously feel so blessed with so many close friends who are not like what I've mentioned above. Thank God for that. =)

About work, I've learnt something new again. =)

And last week, during our long lunch break (training week), we entertained ourselves with the interesting topic of men and women and why do they behave as such.

Due to the fact that there were more of us females there, Dom and Aaron had rather a difficult moment defending the men. Thus, we (females) won. =P

By the end of the day, we all agree that it is all uncertain. Not all women and men behave the same and people are often unpredictable.

It all depends on how much you understand one another, communication and trust for one another.

CTSM, I-City, Salt, The Last Airbender

It has been 2 weeks now as an intern with CTSM aka Citigroup Transaction Services Malaysia.

So far so good. Starting to get used to the morning 6.30 am wake up time and train back and forth.

They are finally giving us more work now and I just recently found out that we will need to do presentation to the management some time soon. Pretty awesome =).

Last Sunday, visited I-City with Ju, Jason and Chai.

I like it there. Very colourful, and cooling (maybe cos it was going to rain soon).

There's a huge projector there too showing movies. So people can actually sit there and watch the movies showing. And then, before they start a new movie, they actually play awesome Korean songs MV. Both me and Jason and the lill kid was dancing and singing to Gee by SNSD.

I can't imagine how crazy I would be if both Christina and Serena were to be there too.

Anyway, it was a nice night out with the boys.

Wednesday. Finally got to watch Salt.

Nothing so interesting. Just an ordinary action movie. An obvious sign of Salt 2.

Friday. Watched the Last Airbender.

People who hasn't watch the cartoon version before will definitely like it and vice versa.

Had dinner in BBQ Chicken with Ju before that. The food is like er...OK OK ni la.

But the dessert after the movie is a thumbs up. We went Paddington House of Pancake. I finally got to try the Pot of Gold introduced by Joyce Wong in her blog all the time. And true to her words, the Pot of Gold is truly money-worthy. Yummyy.

Weekend with Charis

This is the only picture throughout the weekend. Amazing right?

It seems like the phase of cam-whoring is all over.

Last Friday, we (Joyce, Ben, Myself, Charis and David) went for lunch in Chilli's and spent the rest of the day in the Gardens.

After Joyce and Ben left, Charis and I went to meet David (her bro) in Borders where we spent the time in the Children's section exploring the expensive books there. I finally got my "ribet ribet" tone again from one of the books. Wheeeeeee

Had a nice time laughing and catching up with each other that night.

Watched the Fireproof too that night. A very meaningful movie highly recommended to those who are married or in a relationship. =)

Woke up pretty late the next day. Then, while we were both watching the climax of one of the Kimora's Life in the Fab Lane epi, we gotta get dressed to go curve with her bro.

Had dinner in Vin's in TTDI with her friends that night. A very nice place for dinner with close friends and have a drink or two. Like the ambiance there.

The next day, went Sunway Pyramid and explored every retail available while waiting for her bro and Joyce to arrive.

We had dinner in Sushi Zanmai that night, joined by my bro as well.

Then, it was home and an early sleeping time as I need to work the next day.

Will miss you so much Charis dear..=)

Do gimme a one month notice next year before you come back to Malaysia k. =)

As for my internship, nothing much to say really. Its too early to make any conclusion yet.

So, shall just see how and let the chips fall where they may.

Got to know more people now and hopefully soon will get my access card and ID.

BAD DAY

My day was actually pretty good today..till I receive that text!

This morning, I finally get to sit on the train. A seat offered by one of the guys in his mid 20s.

Then I finally get to try on the systems and actually managed to solve a few cases on my own.

N I dun even need to text Ju or my bro to ease the boredom.

It was all good till the text from the MTV guy saying I couldn't work as an usherette this Saturday cos I couldn't attend the briefing tomorrow. =.=

I tried explaining, hoping that he could make an exception....FAILED.

Worse still, the train broke down and dad have to come pick me.

Then reach home, NO WATER WO!!!!

Seriously, APERRR NIEE????????

I'll Back Off So You Can Live Better

Eagle Ranch Resort, Port Dickson

Before I start talking about my trip to Port Dickson, I would love to express my frustration at people who do FFK people and being "MALAYSIAN TIMING" punctual.

If you have forgotten about the outing, believe me, honesty is the best policy. Cursing your family members in ICU is really too creative for a reason to FFK.

Next, if you cant make it for the outing, please do inform people AT LEAST hours before the meeting time. NOT 5 MINUTES before.

Being late cause of the jam is not really an excuse. You people live in KL for heaven's sake and you know how the traffic is like. DEPART EARLY.

Now, back to my trip. The trip to Port Dickson was AWESOME..=)

I had one of the funniest day in my life.

We laugh from morning till night.

The resort was super cute and there's so many activities available. Though the staffs weren't that friendly at all.

We spent the morning picnic-ing by the beach. Super stuffed with fried bihun, fried nuggets, cupcakes, and curry puffs.

We checked in to the resort after that and spend the rest of the time in their swimming pool, camwhoring. =)

Then we went exploring the resort and more picture snapping moments. Bout 6 plus, We went to Ilham tower supposingly to watch the sunset. We were prepared with music, cameras and ice cold coconut water but the view of the sun setting weren't that clear.

Then despite the fact that we've already taken our clean bath, we decided to climb up the hill to the Cape Rachado Lighthouse.

The journey up the hill was a serious mosquitoes feeding moment. And we din't manage to watch the sunset as the clouds are blocking. =.=

Nvm. As we were rushing down the hill for toilets, more L-O-L moments. Hahahaha

Anyway, after dinner, we head back to the resort and to their bar/pub/restaurant.

Ordered a few drinks and karaoke the night away.

We left after breakfast the next day. Though sis went back way earlier.

That pretty much wrapped up the entire weekend.

Journey to Freedom

Have officially completed my first year degree!! and now, the beginning of my one week hols and 2 months of internship with Citibank.

Few days before my exams, I spent one night in Ipoh celebrating Serena's 21st Birthday.

Was so glad that I went back. Never had so much fun since I seriously don't know when.

Took the earliest train back to KL the next day to celebrate my cousin sis's birthday in Times Square.

No regrets coming back so early and looking like a zombie the entire day.

The next day (one day before exams), was supposed to be studying productively. Ended up in Leisure mall watching Eclipse with Daddy.

Not bad actually. Much better than New Moon. Can't wait for Breaking Dawn though.

Exams was okay. Nothing spectacular nor sad about except IT.

Was supposed to be preparing for IT yesterday and ended up watching Inception.

Inception was, in my opinion, very interesting. May be quite confusing for those who couldn't catch up.

So anyway, lack of preparation plus lack of sleep=not so good IT paper with extremely ugly and unreadable handwriting.

The feeling of completing the exams>not so good IT paper. So yea =)

Going out for a movie soon plus dinner and drink tonight!

You know the saying of

"When God takes something away from you, he is not punishing you but merely opening your hands to receive something better"

I actually do really believe in that statement when something bad happens to me. I always use this sentence as a statement of optimism and positivity in life.

Till something happened today.

It seems like, after things have been taken away from me, instead of receiving something better, I am receiving "damaged goods". Goods that had hurt me before.

Then I recall the famous Chinese saying

"When there are no more oranges, there is still lime" (Mou chang tou yao kat - Cantonese)

So is the "damaged good" my lime?

And if that is true, can you still believe and TRUST that the damaged good will still perform its best?

Will you still believe that the "damaged good" will not default and hurt you again like before?

Is the "damaged good"/lime, a sign of "something better" that I should receive?

Can I overlook the damage of the goods and look at it as before?

Tragic Incident at Standard Chartered KL Marathon 2010

As an ex St. John Ambulance first aider and also once an organizer for a charity walk, I know how IMPORTANT, VITAL, CRUCIAL it is to have first aiders or an ambulance stationed at every few km of a walk or a jog.

I am seriously very disappointed and frustrated when I read the FB link sent by my brother.

The DBKL people practically just posed there and there were no ambulance as promised every 4km.

A young man's life was taken today as a result of poor event management by the bank that I hope to work in the near future, Standard Chartered.

I don't know what went wrong, whether was it the event management company, Standard Chartered, the DBKL people or the St. John Ambulance to blame, but this young man's life COULD HAVE BEEN SAVED!

I actually believe that he would have a chance to experience life if they were minutes earlier.

Never Knew I Needed

I've finally watched Princess and The Frog.

And now when I listen to "Never Knew I Needed" by Neyo, I actually feel and understand the meaning of the song.

In life, sometimes are we too carried away by what we want and take for granted things that we actually need?

Maybe this movie is a wake up call for everyone to stop wanting and hoping for things that will not happen and to stop wanting to turn back time.

And perhaps the movie is telling us to just enjoy everyday as it is and stop wasting time frustrated, disappointed and sad over things that is already lost and can never regain.

Easier said than done though.

How can one not feel frustrated when something or someone dear to him or her got taken away or left without any apparent valid reason?

How can one not be sad when someone or something can actually make a difference but refuses? And how can one not be disappointed when the people that he or she cares about does not appreciate the effort?

And how can one be happy when the changes around him or her is too much to handle and too sudden?

Nonetheless, despite of everything, one should try to look pass those emotions, and "dig deep" to look for happiness in every ritual and mundane day-to-day activities that we often take for granted.

To the people that still actually care about me, here's a note for you all, I Love You..=)

Demolition of Pudu Jail

The 114++ years old Pudu Jail was demolished yesterday..

For what? To build a new MALL!!!

To be fair, that building is old, unsightly and a waste of space in the heart of the KL city. The space can make way for better development such as expanding the roads and ease the traffic congestion in KL and so on.

But then, such historic building demolished. Even the paintings on the walls have its own history.

Couldn't the government preserve part of the wall or something?

If this is the trend, then in another 50 years or so, what next? the KL Tower? the Petronas Twin Tower?

Exams=Lifeless

Now that my exam dates are getting nearer,

its time I start preparing for them..

I feel so dumb knowing nothing and I'm actually scared that I wont be able to understand them at all..

Therefore people, from next Monday onwards, no more movie outings, sing k outings or any type of outings for me k..unless the exceptions of course..

I cant seem to be able to speed up the studying engine..It is still stuck in gear 1..

And the worst thing of all is that I'm awfully and badly distracted..

My results suck for my mid-term..and I really don't want to be distracted for the same reason again!

Thus, when you hear me ajak-ing you guys/gals for anything (except for studying of course), i hereby give you the authority to scold me..=)

I spent the past 10 whole minutes staring at the screen deciding on a suitable title for this post but failed.

There's one lady in my life.

She have had diabetes at a pretty young age, her eyesight was badly infected and she had to be injected with insulin everyday.

She have had a weak heart and even went through a bypass before. Recently, she was detected with kidney failure and was scheduled to start her dialysis soon.

Despite her sickness and the departure of her husband and 2 of her sons, she had always been strong and positive. I've never heard of her complaining to God, anyone or anything for that matters.

She also was a very determine person. When she say, no salt, no sugar, and only steamed food, she actually meant them. How I wish I have her determination in losing a bit more weight.

I remembered her, waking up at about 6.30 in the morning for a walk around the house, then cycle for about 30 mins on the machine, almost everyday without fail before she was too tired and old to do so.

I was pretty young and extremely chubby at one time, always refusing her offer to join her. Nonetheless, she never fail to remind me "ah nie..you should exercise constantly for your health. Must not eat too much nor too little (in hokkien)" and I always responded with just a "oh-oh" and never did exercise much.

She was the one that pretty much hold the family together, the reason we gather to chat, laugh and catchup with one another in the grand house.

We were actually in the preparation of bringing her back to KL to stay till she left us a few days back suddenly.

We were actually lucky that her son and his wife, and her daughter with her husband, and her other daughter was with her when she left.

I was, somehow, a few hours too late.

Now, that she's gone, so much changes is gonna happen. CNY and other gatherings will not be at the grand house anymore. Everyone is taking away a bit of every childhood we all have had in this big house.

I guess, this is what people actually meant by, ADAPTING TO CHANGES and that LIFE GOES ON.

May you rest in peace, my ah mar, my role model. We will miss you dearly.

I shall always remember your teachings, and your advice.

I will take care of my health..I'm sorry I always made you worry.

His music, his songs was one of the first few Chinese songs in my life and he inspired me to learn how to speak Mandarin (though till now, I still suck at it)..

But seriously, his new album The Era, is a total disappointment..

I've been listening to the entire album for days now and none seems to leave any impact at all..

I don't remember the lines, nor any of the tunes..

To me, it is just plain Chinese music..

Thus, while am in a state of halfway killing myself, struggling through the horrible, boring credit crunch story, I found out..that humans are generally GREEDY & SELFISH..

When shits happened, they only care for themselves..and try pass the problem to someone else..

Home and Alive

Dear readers, friends and family...

M finally home..and ALIVE..

As many of you know, I just went through nasal surgery in Sunway Medical Centre

Was it scary??..nah..the process before the surgery was cool..

I din't know or feel any thing right after entering the operation theater..

The feeling of post-surgery was however, bad tho..I woke up with the feeling of pain and hunger..

The stomach was not behaving and I vomited right after a few bites of muffin..

I cant even open my mouth big enough for water..and the list goes on..

Then today, aside from having constantly bleeding nose, I'm totally fine..=)

Doc says that it will stop in 2-3 days time..so m still waiting..

Nose is not clear yet, m still breathing through my mouth, and hopefully will be fine by next appointment..

Thank you all for your concerns, sms-es, calls and visits..

And oh ya, I have a gauze taped to my nose all the time to control the bleeding...so don't be surprised or get the shock of your life when you see a gal with white mustache greeting you from far..

Men with their belts

Oh well, this is gonna be another sexist post..so yea, consider yourself warned..=)

So..What is the main function of a belt? (ps, am referring to a man's belt yea)

Based on my understanding, a belt's MAIN function is to prevent the pants from falling and obviously the generation now just cannot grasp the idea at alllll..

To them, the belts are just for fashion purposes..

I don't mind if the belts are just for fashion..what I actually do mind is when you are wearing a belt and your pants are halfway down your ass, revealing brand-less, old and a-bit-torn underwear straight at my face on an escalator..

I was actually trying to look else where but he (a friend of my friend) kept on pulling his pants up on the wrong side and thus, revealing more of the unsightly underwear..

Geezz...I mean..couldn't he actually tighten his pants properly with the belt and at the same time wearing it for fashion?

Unfortunately for me, the friend and his unsightly underwear was not my last..

Guys in my current college, seem to find it fashionable to reveal their inner wears..

I mean, the belts are there for a purpose..and inner wears are named INNER wears for a reason as well..

So guys out there, pls pls pls keep your pants up and save me from the need to see an eye specialist soon..

Very brief update

Last Saturday..

Went Yueh Han's place for BBQ, host by Vo San, the birthday boy..

Me, Ju and the rest shared to make punch..

Had a great time laughing, swimming, eating and drinking that night..

Got to know some new faces as well..

In short, I've never had such great time since I dk when..

No proper pics taken that night..Only some in May Yi's phone..so yea..

Sunday..

Went over to Ampang and had lunch with Uncle Kenny and Aunt SS..

Then to Ikea and Houz Depot..

Finally, my room is complete..with a study table and air cond..

Now I don't need to strain my back studying on the warm bed..

I shall endure for as long as I need to..

Had too many good food nowadays..

Tried Taylor's Truffles fine dining yesterday..food=yummy..presentations=nahhhhhh..service=so so..

Was watching the match between Datuk Lee Chong Wei and Lin Dan just now..

It wasn't the loss of the match that I was upset about..but the attitudes shown by the spectators that were seriously disappointing..

I was aware that Malaysia is not winning but is the "boo" necessary every time when Lin Dan hits??

Was the thumbs down act at Lin Dan necessary in front of the millions of people all around the world watching it live??

The Malaysian players are not the ONLY people representing Malaysia.. The spectators are representing Malaysia too..

Just imagine how shallow we look like to those people who are watching us on TV??

I know Lin Dan was bit too cocky at the end by taking his shirt off and dance a lill there (he is so damn fit and handsome..omg)..

But I don't blame him with the "treatment" he received from us, Malaysians there..

Seriously Malaysians, grow up!

Sometimes in life, you just wouldn't know if something is really good for you or not.

For one moment, it might be your life savior and the source of your happiness, but at the moment next, it will be the reason of your sadness and the suffering you have to bare with.

Maybe is the reliance and dependence on something too much that is causing the pain and difficulties.

One should know his or her limits to something and maintain moderations in life.

But again, no warnings were given by anyone of the consequences.

Thus, here I am today, accepting my consequences.

Some decides to switch to Sunway and Help..and it got me thinking..

What if someone, who shares the same sentiments but has got no choice but to remain in their course..

Is it the right way to just pick the easy way out?

Rationally of course, if your not good in your year 1, how are you gonna continue on with year 2 n 3?

But then again, have you give out your very best in trying to understand and put in effort and hard work in practicing?

Anyway..its not my dilemma or life to decide..

Read this (referring to my blog title) from a friend's blog..
I totally, 100%ly agree with her..the uncle-s and aunty-s have this general opinion that female should not study so much as by the end of the day, they will need to marry someone.

THIS THOUGHT is SO SO SO WRONG & OUTDATED..Long gone were the days when females stay home and be a housewife..

WE, fyi, are capable of multi-tasking (juggling between taking care of the home/house/family and work)..
and seriously, whats the problem of not having a boyfriend at the age of 21??
I mean, really, what do they expect from us when we are still a student, meeting the same few people everyday in college, and not to forget, the load of heavy assignments, reports and assessments imposed on us..
No offence to friends who are in a relationship right now aite..
And besides, how are the females to have boyfriends when the males are just too shy to make a move..
I mean..the selections would be limited to friends..and at most, friends of friends'..Even friends of friends' would be too shy to even approach the female..

No offence to the males k..just a general opinion..shoot me (verbally) if you want for I don't care..=)

Celebrated Mother's Day a week in advance..

Uncle's family came over for lunch cooked by us (the children)..

so..Big bro and sis-in-law cooked claypot chicken rice..

Sis cooked sarawak laksa and abalone kerabu..

Bro keekeelala cooked chicken wings and salad..

while me and Joey cooked fruit cocktail and "Hong Tau Sui"..

So much food for 10 person and you can imagine how bloated we were that day..

then..we also celebrated sis's birthday in advance..bought her half a dozen of donuts..

omg..just typing about it makes me feel full..
but too bad..we forgotten to snap any pics of the food..too bad aite..

Monday (03.05.2010)

Was still too full over yesterday's lunch..so I skipped lunch on Monday..and was starving during dinner..zzz..

Met up with Ju for Ironman 2 in One U..but before that, FOODDD....

ate a lot in sushi zanmai and was so full again..then popcorn and coke during movie..

After all the hoo-ha and long wait for Ironman 2, I cant help it but to feel super DISAPPOINTED..

Maybe I expected too much out of the movie..me and Ju was like blaming each other for choosing the show..and waited super long for the 3 secs teaser on Ironman 3..zzz..

Stopped by Snowflake for some dessert (yea..we ate summore)..Ju chose the not-so-nice one..zzz..

then we headed home..

Upon reaching home, bro gave me more sushi to eat...

So sick of sushi now..no more sushi for me for the rest of the month..

Tuesday (04.05.2010)

Class ended bout 12..

Rushed to the KTM and waited long long for the train to arrive..

Packed like sardine in the train to Sentral..and waited long long again for the Seremban train to arrive..

Reached Seremban bout 3..waited for Joey to pick me and bro up..

Bought mcd for lunch and cake for Sis..then waited for Lynn and Aaron to pick the 3 of us up..

We reach Malacca, sis's rented place to be exact, just exactly 5 mins before she reached home..

We hid behind the stairs and surprised her..

The expression on her face=Priceless and totally worth the packed-smelly-tiring trip on ktm..

We then headed to one of the few Satay Celup restaurant there...

yummy and again,..I ate till I was bloated..(my appetite is so good these days..anyone wana bring me to a buffet??)

After that, we head back to her place for cake cutting time..and more pic-snapping moments...

Don't you think the balloons look pretty...n happy?? =D

anyway..we reached home bout 12..and KO straight after bath..

Fyi, am onlining with the college's computer.
I just don't get it why generally, people just can't make decisions.
They will go on and on taking all their own sweet time to make the decision and then, ITS TOO LATE and the plan has to be cancelled off.
And I also wonder, how and why people can be so not spontaneous. Everything has to be planned beforehand. Any change of plan will kill their entire day ni.
I mean, changes is around us all the time and we just have to adapt to it.
Just imagine, if everyone were to be like that, then we would be living in an all emo earth.
I do admit, that at times, I may be indecisive. But only at very difficult and dilemma situations.
People should start to learn how to be decisive and save the others some time for backup planning or to do more beneficial stuff instead.
Sometimes people, it is OKAY to say no to people's plan. You don't need to drag the entire day just to say the word NO. Just PRIORITIZE your plans.

so sick/bored of the good-girl-look..its time for some repackaging work..
I look at myself as a product in a market..
new products are all nicely lined-up at eye-leveled shelves..while I feel like..like an old outdated product that is hidden behind all others at the bottom shelf..
its time to start on the repackaging plan..to get a new look to be on the eye-leveled shelves again..=P..any ideas, pls pm me in msn..=)

Earth Hour

So where was I during Earth Hour??
Everyone was in Lookout Point, KLCC, Sunway Pyramid and etc watching the lights in the city goes off..
I, on the other hand, was in Sunway University College, NE 4th floor staircase with my brother, watching the entire Sunway area's lights go off..=)
We bought McD (finally after 2 months of no-mcd-days) and some other food there for dinner while watching the lights around sunway slowly switched off..
Then to our surprise..2 minutes of beautiful fireworks..in Sunway Lagoon and we got the best view..without the crowds..=P
and thank God its windy tonight..=)
We stayed there till it was over and Sunway area was brightly litted again..

Pretty eventful and fun day out today with Ju, May yi and Vo san..=)
went ikea..had my first try on their meatballs..yummy (i know i'm superbly outdated but i know they existed n that they r awesome..)..the Daim cake was AWESOME too..
then watched "How to train your dragon"...
the movie..ok ok ni la..but funny tho..=P
n then balik d..
lol..wat a short post for an eventful day konon..
tmr earth hour day ppl..switch off all electrical item for an hour k..=) you'll survive it!

what difference can a month make? we shall see how..was I really selfish?

13th February (eve of CNY/reunion dinner day)
was woken up by bro bout 8 in the morning with a horrible gastric..
what a way to start off my holiday cny mood right..=.='''
felt better after lunch..and started our journey back to Taiping bout 2pm (which we considered it very early d)..
guess what, we reached granny's house at bout 10pm and missed the reunion dinner..all thanks to the great PLUS traffic jam..
some part of the jam was really really very very very (to the infinity) absurd..it was jam and slow moving all because there was a policeman standing by the side of the road..=.='''...typical malaysians..
when we've reached Sungkai, we decided to the take the old road back instead..but again..same jam...
in the end, we went back to PLUS highway..and sped all the way back..(the road was thankfully not that jam anymore..dinner time kot)..
had a great chat with cousins that night..on the swing..looking at the stars, fireworks and many "kwong ming tang" (i dk how to explain it in english..so ask me in person if u dk)..
in short..not bad of a day..

14th February (Day 1 of CNY)

went down to ipoh with sis to visit Serena n Christina..

and stayed over at Christina's new place (very nice house btw..=] )..

we sorta gambled the night off..had a great laugh and learnt a few new gambling games..

16th February (Day 3 of CNY)

not really a good day but okie la..

parents picked me up from Christina's place..went visit uncle and his family for a while..

n then to Sitiawan to visit aunt n her family..

yummy food..but my stomach is seriously not behaving at all..=(

watched LEGION and FAME the other day..
and here are the few simple lessons realized and learnt..

Movie plans that I organized beforehand always fail while impromptu movie plans work!!! *never gonna plan movie outings again..*
Never ever listen to your friend's movie suggestions unless you think its nice too..=.='''
Don't be fooled by miraculous interesting trailers..LEGION was totally disappointing..
FAME is AWESOME..Taught me to always keep an open mind..life is unpredictable and one can never be too sure..=)
TGV's large coke is way way smaller than GSC's..but TGV's large popcorn is larger than GSC's
IOI Mall has cheaper movie tickets..and no queues..=D

we got 4th place..out of 18 groups..so yea..
we were actually the last group yesterday..but we catched up...awesome rite..
the game and the clue were all pretty high school la..but they served their purpose la..
all of us are now in a way closer to one another..got to know more friends..and yea..teamwork..
cny is around the corner..sort of in the mood d...
assignments r pilling up so soon..will need to work on it d...

to those who tarak tau, I'm officially a Taylorian..taking BA (Hons) Acct & Finance by UWE..
reason for so-called "betraying" Sun-U is that Taylors offered me 50% scholarship when Sun-U only gave me 30%..

on monday..we went The Curve to watch OLD DOGS...
we LAUGHED our HEART OUT!!!!!
this movie is perfect for ppl who needs all the laughing endorphines...=)
i give it a 10 outta 10 for comedies..*two-thumbs-up*

n yesterday..went Tropicana City Mall to watch PARANORMAL ACTIVITY..
thought it will b a boring show in the beginning as it was filmed independently..
but but..it turns out to be one of the scariest movie i've ever watched..
maybe cause the movie is very realistic..as though it can really happen to anyone..
anyone who wans some nightmare..i highly recommend them to watch this movie..=)
lol..

arghhh...so many movies that i still haven watch aaaa.........
sherlock holmes, princess and the frog, alvin and the chipmunk 2, love happens..

just came back from dinner with family in Bangsar and KLCC with Ju and the gang..

the banana leaf indian rice was awesome as usual..=)

the celebration in KLCC was bit clumsy at first..but was cool after that..

ended up in starbucks..still waiting for pics from liang..

anyway..my under-sized heels killed me..i ended up walking bare foot..

n when i reach home, i found out that i now possess 4 huge blisters n 2 tiny ones..

n add up with one huge bruise n one small bruise from skytrex ytd,

i wonder what will happen to both my legs tmr...

Anyway..i had a great time today with both friends and family..THANK U ALL ONCE AGAIN..
